“RUKHSATI” Short Feature
Set entirely within a small uprise in Delhi, Rukhsati unravels the rotten inner layers between a young couple uprooted from a district in UP, who are still figuring their survival in the big city. When Sumeet succumbs to the hospital bills of his wife, Manaswee, and chooses to act out of turn, it is her, who has to face a choice that emerges from its repercussions. The film covers these crucial twenty four hours of their lives, that make them confess, confide, and make choices for each other, for better or for worse.
“SAMANANTAR” The first feature film I shot back in 2021 has been the greatest learning curve for me.
The plan was to shoot a feature-length film in and around the India-Nepal border. So Cohesivly we scout the locations with Natural and practical light sources in order to make it look as realistic as possible, and a desired fog in the environment to create a dense texture to give it a feel of bleak & cold winters to match up with the mood of our stories.
The climb was challenging as we had the wildest locations with the bare minimum operational support. we intentionally used the street lights, lanterns, torches and natural bounce as much as we could which was also our Director’s vision to keep the surrealistic nature intact.
The film have had a successful run in national and International film festivals and is still wooing the audience around the globe, putting up some of the Grabs here till it comes out for everyone
